Your result isn’t chosen at random: your answers guide a symbolic matching process inspired by animal symbolism, elemental associations, folklore and the world of witchcraft. Your main familiar reflects the themes that emerge most strongly from your answers, while its allies offer complementary qualities to explore.

Think of your result as an invitation to discover a connection you may not have considered before. Read your familiar’s story, explore what it represents, and give yourself a moment to see what resonates.
That is why we encourage you to consider your recommended familiars first, rather than choosing by appearance alone.

Of course, intuition has its place too. If you already feel a strong connection with another animal, you are welcome to choose it.
The quiz offers a meaningful starting point, not a rule: the final choice is always yours.

Buy a familiar and subscribe to our emails to receive eight thoughtful letters over four months, inspired by the familiar you purchased.
If your order includes several familiars, we begin with the first familiar listed in that order, one story at a time. For a mystery familiar, follow the confirmation instructions in your email after meeting your familiar.

We currently offer express shipping to the United States and Canada.

Orders are normally prepared within one business day. After dispatch, estimated delivery is 5–8 business days, depending on your destination. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.

Please email whispers@eightshadows.com with your order number and your request. You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Returns go to our Florida address; change-of-mind return postage is your responsibility, while we cover it for a defect or an incorrect item.
We issue refunds within 8 calendar days of receiving the return. Read the full returns policy.
